At the end of 2012 I had a vague but unswerving feeling that 2013 would bring about many positive things for me. Not sure why, I just knew it as you "simply know" some things deep inside ~ I never imagined I would turn out to be THIS lucky though :o
The first thing that positively affected 2013 is that I got the role I wanted (Sofie!) in the play I`m participating in - Nichts. Was im Leben wichtig ist/Nothing/Intet by Janne Teller. Premiere´s on the 28th and we still got quite a few things to rehearse, but it looks promising overall ... so wish me luck on that :dummy: You´ll get to see a pic of my „costume" and the (lifesize :faint:) Jesus

That so-called horsemeat scandal

I suppose there´s scarcely anybody who hasn´t heard it on the news this past week. Has been kind of big and overall hard to overlook. Everyone´s in panic ´cause there´s horses in the food.
When I first got to know about the "scandal", I assumed that the meat in question was contaminated, concluding from the alarmed tone and vast media presence. Apparently it´s not. The scandalous thing is that the meat has been declared incorrectly. At least that´s what everyone´s pretending.
To be honest, I guess that´s not all there is to it. If this whole thing were nothing but a scandal about consumer deception, we would´ve had many, many more outcries

Just noticed a new "trend" on twitter called #aufschrei (outcry) https://twitter.com/search?q=%23aufschrei&src=tren that I quickly want to draw attention to. It´s about (mostly) women sharing their experiences of sexual harassment and everyday sexism ... such as not very few (mostly) men reacting to what is being written in utterly condescending ways - like they should rather fight back directly than moan about it afterwards, they should stop seeing themselves in the role of the victim and should stop making a big deal out of it ... and every now and then you come across a sexist or completely unrelated joke.
